I have questions concerning the BM 59/62's and other models. Although, I have never owned any, after shooting a BM-62 I want one. I didn't get a chance to wring it out  for accuracy, however it was a pleasure to shoot even with a folding stock.

I'm hoping current owners and former owners can chime in and give feedback as to quality, accuracy, reliability etc... Seems like spare parts and magazines can be expensive and hard to get, other than that please offer any info about the rifles I didn't write down here.

I want to shoot the rifle, not much of a collector. So, with that being said, are the rifles at this point mostly collectables? Should I get a clone?

My plan is to trade or sell my LMTMWS .308 in order to fund this, it's an awesome rifle in every way. 'm a huge fan of the M1 Garand/M14 series rifles and would love to have a something that's essentially a mix of both.

The only experience I have had with Italian made products was an ex girlfriend and her bitchy mother, I'm hoping their guns are much more fun having around.

Thanks

I have shot friends BM 59, and 62's. Nice rifles. Modern day substitutes would be a Tanker Garand and the M1-A 18" barreled rifles.

Spare parts and magazines are a lot easier to come by with the M1-A.

Yeah, I own a SAI Scout, it's a good compromise. Something about those 59's and 62's though.

Thanks, I'm going to make the leap. As soon as I can get my MWS sold, I'm ordering a Shuff's.
