Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - BEC scope question

Anyone have an opinion (yes, I know a high buck scope is better...) on the BEC 3-9x42 AR-15 "Zoom Scope"?
This thing goes for 69.97 in the Sportsman's Guide SHOOTERS catalog, including the mount.
Again, I know there are better higher priced scopes, I am looking for something I won't mind getting dinged up.
Will my 70.00 fall to pieces within a box of South African???
