Been thinking about one of these.  I think I want a six shooter though.

They are 6 or 7 of I recall.  I know 6 for sure.

Mine has a 6-shot cylinder.  If I recall correctly the 7-shot one is called 686 Plus and usually goes for about $50 more.   I like S&W revolvers, have several, and the 686 is as good as any of them. (and that is a good thing!).

Both exist: The 686 has the 6-shot cylinder, while the 686+ has a 7-shot.

My first 686 was carried on duty...It was a four inch six shot. I think they now make a seven shot for hunting etc......

Cause then it wouldn't be a "six shooter".  Duh.

Actually the thing would just be a plinker, so an extra shot wouldn't really matter one way or the other.
