I am looking at an American Security safe http://www.amsecusa.com/gun-safes-BF-main.htm

Anyone use this or the like?

Would like a nice safe that will fit a 82A1 without laying it on a angle or disassembling it.

From the looks of the interiors available on their site I'm thinking you are probably going to want to talk to them about a custom layout. It looks like it might be difficult to get a .50 with a large brake on the end in and out of the safe.

I have a Amsec 6040W that my 82 will physically fit in but because of the way it fits it takes the space of 5 or six normal guns. Mine usually ended up on top the safe in its hard case.
Funny I know because you would think the higher value would take priority but if you are in and out of the safe alot it becomes a huge pain very quickly.

When I finally get a new house it will have a maximum security gun room so I dont have to worry about safes anymore. I will never move that amsec safe again. Took five of us to get it where it is and when I sell the house they will get the safe with it.

My brother has his assembled Armalite 50 with ~6" left in vertical space.

Heritiage Safe: http://www.heritagesafe.com/
Model: CX3666
44gun, dimensions are: 36x66x28
Empty Weight: 975lbs

Having a safe that will take these weapons without breaking them down is...after awhile...a must. They take up a lot of room and getting to the other boom sticks becomes difficult.

Said Brother reporting in!!!!!!

Here is a picture of the inside of my safe....

I just need to notch the top shelf for the muzzle device, and spread the side shelves out to fit the scope. ( that I don't have ) and it will be prefect!

I dont store my AR-50 assembled, due to all that weight resting on the recoil pad, over time may make it less effective.

Browning Theftgard duo/tall. Mine was delivered a month ago plenty of room for my   AR-50 and still leave a shelf above it. Plus it only cost me about $1200 new.
