Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone using Unique with Xtreme 158 gr .357 plated bullets?

I'd like to load some lower velocity .357 mag rounds that would be fun to shoot in my 4" S&W L-frame and have an open jug of Unique to use.

  Looking at the Alliant  loading data they list a max load of 6 grs of Unique for a LSWC with a velocity around 1,000 fps which is what I'm looking for.

  What are your favorite recipes?

I load 5.5 not the most accurate but it I only shoot handguns at like 25 metres max I am somewhere in the vitals

6.0 grs Unique is a nice shooting load.



8.0 grs Unique for a full load.
