They are made by ProMag.

Hmmm... I've never heard anything good about ProMag products. I'm gonna save my money and just get the Smith and be safe.

I think Promag is the company that managed, somehow, to create non working AK mags lately. Anyone that can pull that off isn't getting their product on my '14 clones.

thanks for the replies so far. I am really looking for any reviews of the products or actual first hand knowledge of pros/cons.

CS Gunworks is in my AO. He gave me one to test. It's a casting, pretty much a copy of an ARMS 18 but very rough. It replaces the stripper guide in the back and in the front has a set screw that screws down on the top of the receiver just above the chamber. The screw has a very sharp bottom and if you screw it down hard (as you have to for it to stay put) it WILL gouge/mark your receiver. I gave it back to Mike and let him know what the deal was and he took note of it. I'll stick with irons for now 'til I can afford a "smith".
