It looks like from the other R22 thread that they are still in production. Don't worry, you'll get it, just like how I got my 1st gen.

Units are shipping. I received mine Monday. Quality unit these are. I opted for the SS barrel in 22lr and the standard bull in 17M2. Here is a pic

The R22s are on there way. I just noticed we milled the magazine well incorrectly. I noticed this after the parts came back with the finish.

Luckily we have lots more magazine wells ready to go with the correct dimensions. Those will have the finish applied and ready to go on Friday. The rifles should be built and waiting on that part by then.

My rifle came yesterday to my dealer, WOOHOO!!

Now I just have to wait my silly 10 days. I will see if I can get a picture or two of her this evening.

Heya phobos512, How's the R22 been treating you?

Aside from a couple of minor problems which Rhineland Arms is helping me sort out, I've been having a ton of fun with my R22, so much in fact that I'm seriously debating whether to go ahead and order the 17m2 'kit' to try some longer ranged shooting.

Hasn't treated me at all yet, unfortunately. I had to work this last weekend so I won't have a chance until Saturday to take her out.

Hey Phobos, I saw your post in the other thread, what happened to you at the range?
Link Posted: 10/3/2005 12:11:23 PM EDT
I had a mountain of FTFs and FTEs with Federal Gameshok 810, Remington Thunderbolt, and Federal bulk 750. Couldn't feed the 750 (the nose was hitting the bottom of the chamber) at all (borrowed it from a friend to see), the Thuderbolt worked 1x, the 810 worked best but still it wasn't feeding consistently (get 1 or 2 in before an issue) and on eject the cases were mostly getting caught in front of the bolt and getting pinched. I was also having a very hard time getting the mags in (Eagle 10s with the catch on the back removed and the stock HL).

RA is working on it.

Those are pretty much the same issues I ran into. I was eventually able to narrow most of the problems down to a 25 rounf hotlips mag I had purchased. I'm waiting on a new extractor from Rhineland, and i'll post how that goes when I get it.

Kestrel,

I had some more email with RA yesterday and they are going to be sending me the new extractor same as you and also a new mag catch. We'll see how they do. I'm really REALLY pleased to see the quick response on their part.

I agree. They are fast to take care of issues and keep the cutomer happy.

I actually ran into a really odd issue with the mag release. On one of the fail to ejects, the case ended up wedged behind the mag release handle. I had to be creative in getting the magazine out due to it being wedged in there pretty tight.

If I still have problems after getting the new extractor from Rhineland, i'm goign to go with the VQ extractor as some of the 1st gen R22 owners have done.

Hopefully this extractor comes in soon, I want to go shooting this weekend :)
