I feel its my duty (because God knows how rare they are) to post this...
STG-44 up for sale on gunbroker, starting bid is something like 10,000, not to bad for a C3 like this. Shame, I dont know if you can even buy ammunition for this bad boy any where.

Uses 7.62X25 ammo, very rare, i have an STG-44 on my wall (deactivated).....

the ammo can be tricky, but if I recall you can dut down a .308 casing and make it that way
Magazines are really spendy, and I think it would be easier finding lips on a wood pecker

Damn I wish I had the spare cash

Are you sure about the 7.62x25?

I thought 7.62x25 was the round pistols like the CZ52 take

There's an old guy that wanders into one of the local gun shops here. He keeps saying he wants to sell his StG44. I've told the guys that the next time he comes in to tackle him and call me. Apparently he's got one of the nicest specimens around, complete with reloading dies and the whole works. Says he wants to sell it for an outrageous amount of money, which he defines as $7k.

I've seen ads on Sturmgewehr of people selling loaded ammo for a buck a round for this gun.

I just hope the gun store guys call me some day.

Id probaly be camping out for that.

I remember hearing the ammo they sell is not the highest quality, so its better just to load your own

Nice....

I think the STG44/MP44 would be the holy grail of WWII guns for collectors... But because it is Class III, I'll probably never be able to afford one.

So for now, my holy grail of WWII small arms is a G43.

I've always liked these guns.

Got to fondle and drool all over one once-upon-a-time. At a little funshow in a little Nebraska town. 1984 or '85. The dealer even had ammo for sale. Weird, out of proportion lokking little round.

I once saw a price on RCBS conversion dies .308 to 7.92x33K. Something like $125 Then you need the $75 sizing die set. Ouch....but if you had the gun you'ld need the ammo.

I forget the price....$3000maybe??

But the NIB M16A2 right beside it was only $1500. Sure wish I could find another for that price. Obviously this was just before the fullauto ban.

I think some were semi auto only, But I guess they are very very rare.

Parts kits & ammo show up from time to time in the SGN, But I have not seen them in years, Keep looking!
