Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone had any experience with Dawson Precision?

I am interested in getting a Tactical Advantage from Dave Dawson and wondered if anyone had any experience with them....good or bad.  By the way the cost of the gun is about $1900.00...I just love quality 1911's.

I have several friends who own Dawson guns They are top quality and very reliable. Dawson products are very popular among IPSC shooters. Frankly, I've never heard anything bad about Dawson's gunsmithing services, his parts, or his guns.
