I see you can buy the 28" for around $300.  I would go for their shorty model, but its missing the rib inbetween the barrels where I want to cut.

I assume on the full length barrel this rib (or seam?) is welded or soldered all the way up both barrels?

Anyway, thought this would be a fun project and after slimming the foreend, fit better in a holster than a typical side by side double barrel.

I would also go with a pistol grip for the true Apocalypse look...

Do I need to be worried about going too short and not have it properly reset?

As long as you have a good gunsmith shorten the barrels there shouldnt be a problem. Any good gunsmith should know how to solder ribs on a double barrel
