I just received my SCAR and I'm ready to shorten the barrel. I'm thinking about picking up a factory 13" barrel and adding a BE Meyers flash hider. Anyone know if this will bring it to 16" or have a photo of this setup? I'm not unwilling to SBR it, but if the OAL of the barrel is >16 I'll just save my money.

BE Meyers run a tad under three inches, so this won't get you there.

If you're going to shorted the barrel, go 13.5" and you'd be golden.

Man that sucks, I haven't seen to many 16" barrels for sale. I was hoping I could attach it to a 13 and be gtg while saving my 16. Thanks for the reply. Do you have any pics?

First question is which SCAR 16 or 17? If it is a 16 you need to cut to 13.7" plus the 5.56 B.E.Meyers hider will do the trick. If it is a 17 you need to use the 7.62 B.E. Meyers flashider which is more than long enough to get you to 16" OAL.

Sorry, I forgot that, the rifle is a 17. Do you know how much length is added by the Meyers?
