Hey guys,
Went to the range today. I am out of XM193, and couldn't get my hands on any for the day of shooting. Well, The local shop has some Wolf, So I decided to try it out. I bought the 55gr FMJ. I am quite impressed. It held a pretty decent group with My RRA M4 w/EOTech... It was accurate enought for me to reach out to 330yds with it. The EOTech Also performed great at that range. I was shooting metal plates, about the size of a 20" across.

I never had any extraction problems, even after some rapid fire... Never noticed and evil smell or anything, althought there was a slight wind.

Another believer!

Shoot Cheap, Shoot Wolf!

i am past the 2 case mark without a jam, misfire or anything like that in my mini 14 ranch rifle probably with the money I have saved I could buy another mini 14!

Yep...I like it too. Shot a 8" 20 shot group at 200yds with open sights (off sandbags) last week. Won't win me any matches, but good enough for inexpensive blasting ammo.

Yes, welcome to the dark side

Thank you. You won't regret using Wolf. I have an old Bushmaster that just loves the stuff!

Oh yeah, it also eats that South African surplus ammo that everyone else is cursing. Why just yesterday it ate a whole 300 round battle pack by itself... without a single stoppage!

Shoot Cheap / Shoot Wolf is the way to be.

jnewman1,

We still haven't actually determined what caused your catastrophic failure right?

Just remember, it's not "IF" it's "When" with Wolf.

Please, for the children's sake, so NO to Wolf.

Just because it works, doesn't mean it won't bite you. AND.. of all the Russian brands, Wolf is the worst.

My AK's eat Barnul, and everyting else sees nothing but brass. Life is too short to shoot that crap. JMHO

Everybody I meet swears by Wolf. I'm the only person that ever had problems with it. I purchased a thousand of 9MM three years ago. 15 rounds into the first box I had three misfires. I called Wolf and they took it back and refunded the money no problem.

What's the story with Barnaul ? I was going to try it.

So you have never tried it in an AR but you are willing to state that people shouldn't use it?

i thought this was a GOOD post about wolf?

oh well, substandard rifle, substandard ammo, a match made in heaven.

Just incase some of you missed my post in the ammo forum. Here are four targets I shot a couple of weeks ago with 4 different types of ammo just for comparisons sake. You can see there isn't much difference in the accuracy of the different brands. All were fired from the prone position at 100yds. with open sights on my AK Shorty.

Yeah, This is supposed to be a good post... I haven't ordered any yet, Locally its about 3 bucks a box, but theres a hottie that works at the gun shop, so I like to patronize her and the familes shop....

I had very similar to VA's results.. It shoots great... Some dork at the range was telling me not to use it, because Bushmasters have soft chambers. LOSER!
