[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Another C + R FFL question

So I've completed both copies of the "green form," 7CR (5310.16), and as far as I tell I just send one copy to BATFE and the other to my local Sherrif. Is is true that my Sherrif doesn't need to do anything except file the form? It doesn't look like he has to send or do anything.

Is this true?

Yep. It's just a notification and requires no input from them.

Thanks guys. It seemed too easy, especially after sending the paperwork for a sound suppressor. The forms went out yesterday, the clock is running!
