Not sure what's going on with my setup.  Size and deprime everything is good.  After powder drop and bullet seat.  Wrong size.

Size and deprime All good

Bullet seat not right.

The culprit

will fix the pics in the morning making them smaller to be courteous to others.

Are you attempting to crimp your loads?  Could be the neck/shoulder might be buckling just enough to cause problems.

That would be my guess too.  Read Step 12 here http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=469

You want to adjust your seater die so the roll crimp function isn't engaging to get the depth correct.  Then it's optional to adjust the die again for roll crimping.  If anything, you'll learn how your die works

It was the crimp die.  Using Dillon dies with the taper crimp that came with the set.  Took the die out reinstalled it per instructions and all good.  Only thing left to trouble shoot is my powder drop, but I'm going to remount the press and see if it does the trick before screaming help on that.

Thanks for the help.

Problem I've been having and still having after remounting my press.  The press is a 550B and the current problem is my powder drops range from 23gr-26.  I'm doing full strokes.  Powder bar goes all the way forward and comes all the way back.  I've gone through the trouble shooting on Dillon's site.  The only thing I haven't tried is a strong mount.  Which I'm not sure if it will help as it is bolted down solid on a sturdy table.  Any suggestion while I still have some time before going to bed.

You have to tell us what powder is giving you troubles.

Ball powders work best in a unmodified Dillon measure.

Extruded powders can be made to work with some tuning and operating techniques.

H335 cannot believe I forgot to add that.  Figure once I get this part over with I can start cranking some rounds out.

Off subject should I make the pictures in the OP smaller.

I had the same problem. I found about 10 rounds changed size. It was always with Federal brass. I check over 1000 rounds. When I cut the brass apart I found that the brass was to thin down at the web and the case was out of round. So now I check all my finished rounds with a cartridge gage. In all the years of reloading I never had this problem. Someone told me that it could be from an AR15 that has a weak buffer spring and the action is opening to fast and the case is bulging. That's IMHO.

Thanks for the sugestions guys going to mess with it tommorow almost bed time.  Going to make some wheels for my PM adjustment screws.  A count of five should be enough time for all powder to fall?

It'll be Thursday or Friday before I mess with my reloading stuff.  Was in a foul mood yesterday and had a club meeting tonight which included adult bevrages.  So no guns, driving,or reloading with adult bevrages.  Have a lot of stuff that the zero has to be checked and I'm going to do it tomorrow since I'll have a spotter.

Don't mess with it before bedtime.  If things don't work out you're mind will be racing and you won't sleep.  Try on Sat AM when you are clear and have the day ahead of you.

Well guys I took off early.  Found the true cause of the difference in powder weight.  When I lube the cases I put them in a tray and sprayed them.  When I did this I got lube inside the case causing the powder to stick.  Using a nonlubed case all throws are 25.2 gr.  done this 30 times.  Thinking maybe I got a old bottle of lube.

If your curious the lube was made by Dillon.  From now on I'll spray them on their sides.   Thanks for the help guys.  Dryflash sending you an IM shortly.

Yep! That`ll do it! I use the Dillon spray here too. Like it, but don`t try to measure a powder charge with a sprayed case `cause powder will certainly stick to the inside of the neck on a lubed case. Glad you got it figured out.
