1) What is your state of residence? That will determine the answer.  2) At 18, you would need to buy an NFA item from a private party. 3) Why is this in the retro forum? |

Unfortunately Michigan residents cannot own silencers.

You can buy as a temp resident of GA, but at your age only from an individual not a dealer, not sure if a LE dept. would count as not a dealer or not.

Your head got bit off because your statement was so far from reality. It's not exactly like selling a handgun, there is all the NFA paperwork and rules and regs that go along with any form 4 transaction, you just don't have to go through a dealer. |

Wait... so you can sell NFA items to less than 21 year olds in the same way you can sell handguns? I knew you could get them at 18 through a trust, but I was not aware of the other method. My apologies for any misinformation... No need to bite my head off.
