Oh yeah...that thing is fine as is...just curious as I was thinking it would be a fun project.  I'm thinking of doing a G-36 conversion with my SL-8, but I haven't decided yet.

My problem is how much it costs to convert them.  Not sure if it really worth the money when I can use that money to buy another gun for the collection.  I wish I would of bought a SL-8 when I bought the USC.  The shop had both and only had one of each left and he was willing to give me a deal If I bought both that day but I didn't have the cash for it.  I paid $899 for the USC.  The tag price for the USC was $999 and the SL-8 was $1299.  He would have sold both of them for $1800.

Mostly paper targets, some metal plates that a friend made for me, and whatever anyone left behind.

The metal plates didn't hold up to well.  My friend used the wrong kind of steel.  I will take a couple pics and post it of them.  They look like Swiss cheese.

Still it was a smart moving on buying the USC, just look at what you could sell it for now. They go for a pretty penny over on HKPRO.com all the time.  I always wish the same though that I had purchased a dozen SL-8s or a dozen AUGs, but didn't have the money at the time either.

3/8" thick both plates but not sure what kind of steel he used to make them.
