Yeap, added a US made +3 extension tube mod so now she holds 8 slugs in the tube and 1 in the chamber. I noticed at the range I could hit the magazine shell latch and it would load another round on the carrier with a unfired round still in the chamber and still cycle all the rounds when fired.

So I loaded 8 rounds in the tube first and pulled the bolt back just enough with my thumb that I could place a round in the breach. The key is to push the round down on the carrier while hitting the magazine shell latch with your index finger which will allow the carrier to drop down and lock with the round. You can now insert another round into the breach and let go of the bolt handle with your thumb and it will load into the chamber. It's easy once you figured it out and as long as you don't locked the bolt back your GTG.

No mods required to do this and if wanted I have 8 in the tube, 1 on the carrier and 1 in the chamber

I guess that's a feature TriStar didn't know

Now you just need to think of a name for this technique. How about "Phantom loading"

On the mk19 mgl the round in the carrier is called the ghost round.

I'm calling ghost loading "Vampire Power" from now on.

Thanks for reminding me to try this with my lowly Verona SX405. I had read elsewhere that it's identical internally to a Franchi 612, but I never knew that it could be ghost loaded... until today.
