Anyone seen one of these? I tried contacting the seller but haven't received any response on it's reliability or manufactuer.

I have seen an add for the opposite, an AR-15 type that uses AK mags. It was in the same SGN that had the article on the PS-90. Company called MGI. (www.mgimilitary.com) Like you, I am searching for more info on both types.

There are quite a few 5.56mm rifles that are based on the AK type system that use AR mags. I do not know of any actual AKs that use AR mags.

Hesse now Vulcan made an adapter for the galil to take AR mags. that is as close to an AK taking AR mags that i can remember.

edit: was just at their site, and it is still listed. its under V73 accessories Vulcan

Look for a Daewoo DR-200. It uses AR mags and an AK gas system. Very reliable.

On a side note..has anybody actually seen/used oneof the new MGI lowers with interchangeable mag wells? If I can find one of those, I might buy it with their qd barrell change upper and give the whole system a whirl.....

Wait till you see what we're showing there!
It's going to steal the show!

For those who can't be at the show, I'll try to send some photos back with my laptop, if I can.
I'm sure that the ARFcom staff that is at the show will also send some, because this is an exhibit that cannot be ignored!
It's the biggest thing to happen to the AR15 in a very long time.

Seen the Daewoo and AR15 type rifle that can use the AK mag for 7.62x39 but the AK I saw has some conversion to accept AR15 mags.

Helldog40, I'm bringing my laptop, and we'll see if we can get any photos out.

However, you being site staff and all, you might get some pix sent direct to you from "The Man", Ed Avila himself, who will be coming by our booth when he gets a chance.

I'm looking forward to meeting him and all the staff that gets to come to the show.

I'll hope to see you at Orlando next year, and we'll do what we can to get info on the show and our stuff back to the ARFcom readers.

I guess the XCR somewhat qualifies as an AK style rifle that uses AR mags.

What I meant by AK type is it's a clone of the AK-47 but have a mag adaptor to use AR15 mags.
The Daewoo, XCR and etc doesn't look like an AK

I believe Hesse or Vulcan makes/made one. I remeber a guy selling a pair of them on the EE not too long ago.

Yes, they do exist. I have ssen one listed on auction arms or gunbroker or one of those places. Looked funky. As to how it functioned, no clue at all...
