Title says it all: Is it safe to use +P+ for extended shooting sessions with a CX4 Storm?

If so, I'll be buying 3 or 4 cases of the stuff to try out

I would call Beretta to be sure. It will be hard on the gun more so.

I probably would NOT use +P+ in a Storm.   Especially not for extended shooting sessions.  It's made to run on standard pressure 9mm.  +P+ would probably function, but would end up beating the crap out of the gun.

RTFM first.  If it recommends against +P and +P+, then do not shoot it.  Or, at least, don't come complaining when something breaks!

Beretta Manual page 66:

The extended use of +P, +P+ ammunition may decrease the minor components service life expectancy. DO NOT use sub-machinegun ammunition because the chamber pressure may reach or exceed proof load pressure.

Federal 124gr Hydroshocks (LEO loads) in +P+ are clocked routinely out of my CX4 at around 1600fps!

Stay away from the +++++P+++++++ subgun ammo and you should be allright.

Great performance on that Federal ammo; the ammo I was looking at was subgun ammo but it looks like I'm gonna have to pass on it.

I figured subgun ammo out of a carbine was safe but I geuss I figured wrong
