You're not alone. The 5rd CETME mags fit really tight and don't feed well in my PTR-91 either.

CETME mags are just a little different. I had to modify my mag well and G3 mags to make the G3 mags work in my Century CETME.

They fit fine in my PTR ordered from samco as well. Maybe it is newer than yours. Purchased last year.

The 5 round CETME mag that I got was actually too loose in my PTR and also would not feed correctly. Upon coser inspection, I noticed that the body of the magazine was slightly crushed in. Using some wooden wedges and a hammer I was able to spread it back out to square. At first I went a little bit too far and actually bowed the sidewalls out a bit, which caused it to fit too tightly in the magwell. But then I crushed it back down a bit to straighten it out and now it works prfectly. This was a NIW magazine that a friend grabbed for me at a funshow. I would suggest disassembling the magazine and checking that the body is in fact straight and square, err, rectangular and that the follower rides properly.
