I want to put an oversized safety button on my 590.  Does anyone know if this is a part a home tinkerer can install or is it a job for a smith?

if you take apart the Mossberg 500/590, for the love of god and all that is holy, please don't lise the Detent ball.  I have lost mine before when installing the CavArms saftey for the ar15stock addapter and sucked up a few bucks for it.  

it is simple to take apart, but you must be careful where the parts go, or keep them on a magnet, and it can be somewhat of a bitch to put back together.
