I called Mossberg last week and they were of no help to me.  My question is has anyone refinished their 590A1 with a thermal cured finish?  I want to refinish my 590A1 with KG Gunkote, but I don't know if the solder will hold up to the 300 degrees during the baking.  It seems that the 590A1 is soldered on the front sight post and the barrel/tube.  I don't want the solder to melt during the one hour bake time.

FYI, I have done a bunch of firearms with Norrells and KG, but never one something that has solder.

Any input would be appreciated.  I just don't know enough about solder to answer my own question.

Ok since I didn't get any help from the thread...I ended up calling KG and spoke to Chris (awesome dude)...he didn't know, but he put me in touch with Michael from Aimpro-they build custom shotguns and use KG products.  The solder will hold up to the 300 degree heat that KG 2400 series needs, so I am good to go.  Now, I can start my project of refinishing my 590A1.
