Hi all

I was wondering what grn os better for a 1 in 9 twist. I seem to find more 55 grn lately and less 62gr on the market. Are the results the same?

You will have to experiment and see. My Bushy 20" with a 1/9 twist shoots M193 ball inot less than 1", and gets no better than 3" with most SS109. The shorty with an Old Sarge 1/9 will do about 2" with issue sights with either weight. In theory, the heavier bullet whoudl offfer better performance, but keep in mine rifles dont practice theory, just fact.

DavidC has it right.

For accuracy:
1:12 - 55grn
1:9 - 62grn
1:7 - 69grn

My BUSHY likes 55 gr. PMP Gazelle box better than Winchester 62 or Federal 62 grain (at 100 yards) 20" barrel 1:9twist
