Anyone have any pics of their setup in a case? What cases will fit the 99?

My Barrett 82A1 came in a Starlight case.  I have had several long Pelican Cases; the Starlight is better.

My Windrunner came in a Starlite but I now have it in a Pelican 1750 so I can keep the barrel attached.  I'll get a pic up in a bit.  I like the Pelican cases better.

Here's the pic. Better late than never!

case hell, where do I get a safe that fits? lol my 50 goes in the safe barrel down at a 15 degree angle last gun in, first gun out. Not convenient but at 58 inches its the same length as the safe is high inside and the doorway is smaller yet that posed a problem. but its secure so I dont really need a safe, but does anyone else have this problem?

I had to completely rearrange my safe to fit my Barrett. Took out a shelf or two, and put all my ammo on the bottom of the safe. Makes it much harder to tip or move, since I cant bolt her down.  Looks better too!

Where do I get either the starlight or pelican case, and how much is it going to cost me.  I have my 50 in a softcase from bagmaster right now and it's an awesome case, but I just don't think it protects my expensive gun all that well.

thanks

Not sure about the Starlights as I've never looked for one.  The Pelicans can be found online from many different sources.  I think the 1750s average around $160 and Pelican has a NO BS warranty.  I just bought 5 of them but if I told you how much I paid you would pass out!  I'm in the plastics industry and I know people...  Just don't buy it at a gun show, they will make you grab your ankles and won't even kiss you afterwards.

I was and am under the assumption that the Starlight is bigger than the Pelican internally, no? Or did it come in the smaller Starlight, one that would fit an AR?

Nice setup BTW. You wouldnt want to sell one of those 5 on the cheap would ya?

The Starlite is shorter length wise so you need to remove the barrel and store it in the other half of the case.  There might be a pic on the EDM arms website.  www.edmarms.com

Avoid buying a Starlight case for your 50! I bought a used AMAC 5100 that came with one and it is not as sturdy as the Pelican, mainly in the side where the handles are flexes way too much, plus this makes it harder to latch it shut. I have two Pelicans, one for my M82A1 that I bought in '92 and one for my M90 that I got in '94 and I never had this problem with either one.

Dammit! I just bought one yesterday. Has the Barret insert, OD Green. WEll have to see, they do have a warranty. Damn...

FWIW, the Starlight appears to be larger (longer and deeper). Measurements are internal.

Pelican: 50-1/2" x 13-7/16" x 5-1/4"
Starlight: 52" X 13" X 6"

Do you have this case GI?

If you do, what do you think about it?

As soon as I get back from Gunstock, I'm ordering it. I've made several phone calls to Gerald Bonner (owner) about this case and he has answered a lot of questions. Give him a call!

To add casters, it's an additional charge.

Thats a Kalispel case, made by Kalispel indians in Washington. Supposed to be a real nice case, and has a lifetime warranty against breakage. Looks like a pretty good deal!
