I finally heard back from Google and they've made my video live.  It's a video of me shooting a Mcmillan Brothers .50BMG bolt action at an armored vehicle 1400 meters away.  Not the best quality but you cann see the round travel downrange and impact.  Thought someone might like to see it anyway.

I have seen 7.62 tracer rounds in a serious crosswind make an S where the wind affects them and then the wind is sheilded by terrain.

Besides the obvious trace, what type of round were you using?

I honestly don't know.  We were at Camp Atterbury just south of Indianapolis and IIRC we were using some ammo donated by the military to our cause (LEO Sniper School).  There were a couple of different types of ammo but it was all military.  Sorry I don't have more info.

Sorry....I dunno.  The Instructors were loading the rifles with a mix of what they had gotten.  I was a little to busy smiling to pay any attention to what we were shooting, could've been a cat coming out of the bore and I wouldn't have cared.

Me likey big boom.

Wouldn't happen to remember the tip color if you happened to see it being loaded?

Green white?   Silver?

I believe that we had both silver and green tipped rounds out there but I don't know which type the round on the video was.  Seems like there were red tipped rounds out there also but it's been a couple of years since that video was shot.  Sorry.
