Anyone have any pet loads for this round? Got some 165 grain boat tail game king spitzer's a couple days ago, and looking to load up a decent hunting round with them.

Anyone have any pet loads with this projectiles for .300 BLK?

Regarding the .308.

Sierra #V lists Varget and that bullet.

Start load is 38.5:2400fps
43.0:2700fps is a Max load.

They list an accuracy load of 40.4 gr of AA2495 (2600fps) and a hunting load of 45.2gr VihtN550 (2700fps)

OAL was 2.750"

Good luck-    Can't help you with the 300 blackout.

Varget is unsuitable for 300 blk.

Slow burning magnum pistol powders or very fast rifle powders are used in 300 blk.

I use H-110, Lil'Gun, and AA-1680.

I wasn't asking for varget loads for 300 blk, sorry for the confusion.

I use 42.0 gr Varget/LC case/WW primer with the 178 Amax.... this duplicates the velocity of the M118LR (175gr SMK) in my RRA LAR8 predator.  Under 1MOA out to as far as I dare (made a one-round hit on a 12" plate @825 yds once).

As I recall, Alliant advertises that the LR118 is loaded with Re15.... a tad "slower" burning than Varget.

I think it would be a good bet to get a box of factory ammo (Fed?) loaded with the Sierra Game King and get access to a chronograph.... load Varget to duplicate the factory velocity and you should be good to go.

Just remember work up to the factory velocity, watch for pressure signs, and above all Your Results May Vary!
