This is the first I've seen of this, it's a mag fed 20mm rifle!  Practical?  no...  but man do I want to play with this!  Nothing like a 3mile effective range.  LOL

I've only seen pictures of the at shows and stuff.  I can't believe how light the recoil was and how effective the suppressor considering.

They had one on display at KCR a few years ago, pretty awesome piece.  I believe at that time it had a price tag of $12K, still...........cool.

I've seen one in person. They are pretty cool. Not that I think I'd need one. I mean, not that I need anything that I own, but still. It would be cool to own.

I fired the Barrett XM109 quite a bit when I worked there. It was so freaking cool. But it was a 25mm.

How about semi-auto 20mm?

Lucky dog you!  I was in 5th SFGA and worked with the S-5 and Barrett on the prototype (98' time frame).  Left the Gp S-3 and took another team and then went to Germany.  Never did get to shoot it as we were still didn't have any live ammo at the time.  Did enjoy my time down in Murfressboro working along Ronnie Barrett.  Project was called the Heavy Payload Rifle at the time, before it was type classified (I always refered it to a Man Portable Light Cannon)

Where do you even buy ammo for it? I've never seen anyone selling anything but dummy rounds (no powder) for it.

You won't find ammo as it is a DD.  The ammo is too new and only available from ATK.

ETA: Call Barrett and ask them about buying an upper. They probably won't even price it to you.

The only one of those cannons that ever floated my boat was the S1800 Solothurn.   I did get a chance to shoot a Lathi several years ago, It was awesome.
