Both of my sons have Mossberg 20 gauge 500's. They started out as youth guns but have been updated to full size adult guns. We have 22" vent rib bird barrels with screw in chokes that they use for turkey and birds. They also have 24" fully rifled barrels for deer.
Last year my oldest broke his arm and was in a cast for the Long Island shotgun deer season in January. I bought the pistol grip, 18" defense barrel and a long sling that he hung over his neck to carry the gun. He fired three shots at one deer but missed. Cruiser shotguns are not easy to aim. We also own a 500 in 410 also with the cruiser set up as well as a 24" full choke bird barrel.
Mossberg guns are a good value for the money and spare barrels, grips, skocks, chokes, ect are priced right. If money is a issue then go with the Mossberg and don't look back. If money is not an issue then take a look at the Remington 870. MIKE.
