I was looking at ct-precision.com/crown.html and noticed they now offer a 2" recessed crown for 10/22T barrels.  I sent off my 10/22 to them years ago (when they were $30 less  and with a new green mountain barrel) and figured my crown was fine so no work was done to it.  I have no issue with the accuracy of the "shallow" crown on my gun but looking at this 2" deep one rings a bell that it is over kill.  Has anyone had this modification done to their 10/22?  Also what benefit would you get from this modification?
