I've got a P229 in .40 that's my fav pistole'.
I'm thinking of getting one of the polymer frame Sigs to use as a carry gun. Do the polymer frame Sigs (esp. the .40 cal) have significantly more recoil than the metal frames??? (BTW - I've got a HK USPC40 for sale or trade  )Any comments on the polymer Sigs???? |

No. At least not to me. Felt the same as my P229 did. I had a SP2340 and got rid of it. Miss it terribly. Currently saving to re-purchase one. Very comfortable to carry to me. Has a mine had a very nice trigger on it. Nothing but good things to say here.

The recoil seemed about the same to me (I couldn't tell the difference). I either carry my P226 or my P229. If you check out the sigarms.com website, you will notice that the P229 is actually only 1 oz. heavier then the SigPro.

I had a 2340, nice gun, hated changing the grips though. I sold it because I already had a 226 and a 229 and wanted to add my first 1911.

Had one (SP 2340), can't say anything bad about it other than the finish coming off a certain part (decocker) pretty quickly for some reason. It was a solid reliable gun but I got rid of it in my quest for more highend 1911's and it was the only .40 I had and wanted to get out of that caliber.
