I guess I will have to settle on an Ar-15 opposed to a AR-10 because of the price.  What models and makes would be good.  I want the rifle to be accurate,and light.  I think I will go with the chrome lined barrel.  What barrel length should I get 16, 20.  I also want to be able to take off the sights to install a scope.  And a relative price but I don't want it to be a piece of shit.  What models and makes should I be looking at.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at a Bushmaster carbine. Get the 16" barrel with chrome lined bore. A 14.5" with a permanent comp is good too. Get the A3 model with a detachable sight.
Or, you'd be better off with what the other two said. Can't go wrong with RRA. Their quality is as good and their price is even better.
