Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt MT6700C how many were made?

I purchased a nib Colt MT6700C.  Later on in the store a guy said that Colt did not make many of these and in fact, they don't even list it.

I s this the typical gun shop bullshit or?

They may still be available new.  Long Island Shooting Center shows the Match Target 6700 Compensated for sale at $1049.

Colt made 2000 odd "R6700CH" rifles, that were "hand selected for accuracy".. He may have been thinking of one of these..
