What this is:
A Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) reference for all commercially available .50 BMG caliber rifles. MSRP is derived from the respective manufacturer's website, via email and authorized dealers.
What this is not:
This is not a one-stop shopping guide; It is only a starting point. Purchasing a weapon should never solely depend on the price. Price is merely one of many factors. A balance of features, lead time, ergonomics and other issues should be included in any purchase.
Please note that some of these rifles can be purchased for less than MSRP. And some manufacturers accept orders directly from consumers rather than only FFLs. Also, prices shown are base prices for each respective model. Different models, even by the same manufacturer, may come packaged with different accessories. Prices for fluted barrels, bipods, cases, et-cetera are not included unless they are part of the basic package for that specific model. This post will undergo several edits, send corrections via PM.

Steven, that is a heck of a list you got there. Thanks for posting, it should be archived as ref-material for later.
+1 thanks for the effort, it is appreciated
New Safety Harbor Firearms (SHF) single shot AR-15 lower for BMG uppers. Same concept (no magazine well) as the DPMS "California" AR-15 lower already popular with BMG upper manufacturers.
SHF lower prototype in the white, $175
SHF lower production version, $185
DPMS California lower, $179.95 $184.95
Damn fine job you'v done Steven, keep up the good work!
Any word on a release date yet?
No release date yet.
ETA: project is on hold for an indeterminate period of time.
True, however it will still weigh less than the 28.5lb M82A1.
www.statearms.com 1800-2200 for a top shelf accurate single shot .50BMG
He's got 'em listed above. ERG (East Ridge Gun) AKA State Arms
Just an FYI, your Serbu BFG link doesent work with their new site. Here is the new link:
Great list the LH bolt options .
Can someone point me toward a RH .50 that is shootable LH , no bolts close to face .....
Also I saw a AR 15 upper sort of thing that apparently goes on top of an AR lower ????
I'll surf through and learn what I can .
Thanks for any info
The list started out as a project just to help me shop. Figured others might benefit also. I'm a lefty and wanted a right bolt gun; Left hand on the grip and trigger, right hand does everything else.
None of the right bolt guns will hit you. But some will feel awkward because they are close. Pay particular attention to the guns that load further aft than others.
See the "uppers" section. They all mount on an AR15 lower.
Armalite just upped the price on the AR-50
It's now going for $2,999.
I believe that is up about $250 from a month ago.
Great thread more relevant since the election.
Edited / No advertising allowed outside of the EE and without a dealership ~ 82ndAbn
Ultralite50W-$1000, whats the word on this upper, is it out? who makes it?
Dito how long? And what about the usa semi auto?
This took no small amount of time and thought!!
Great information, thanks!
Do you have any idea which of these manufacturers offer their receivers for sale? I am interested in buying a few receivers as sort of an investment, thinking that 50 calibers will be banned in similar fashion to the '94 AWB. I assume pre-ban dated items would be still legal to own/transfer so I could make some profit.
Does this make sense? How much are the receivers for the manufacturers that sell them independently?
East Ridge State Arms sells their receivers and will sell them in-the-white.
I've got one of their rifles. Best 1000-yard group so far was 6.75"
Just got off the phone with Peggy at safety harbor, she told me the only lower they sell comes marked "Cal .510 DTC" period. If I build a 50 BMG rifle, with a 50 BMG upper, I don't want it marked .510 DTC. I talked to a couple people, and thought about it, and this just didn't make sense, so I called her back to make sure. She confirmed her assertion was no mistake. :( I really wanted one of these too!
EDIT: I called back a third time to be told that not only was there no recievers in white for sale, but that he never remembered releasing a picture for public consumption. I didn't mind because this thread is pretty old, and I can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning :(
Authorized for public release...
Serbu BFG50A semi-auto video, 2.6mb
But still no solid ETA on availability of the rifle.
Thanks Steven, I have found your list very helpful researching the different offerings of 50 BMG rifles and uppers.
Please note that the McMillian links do not seem to be working. Just trying to give something back.
Does anyone know if BohicaArms has a email address? Because I'm currently in Iraq, and if he is going to try to call me on my phone, it's obviously not going to work, so I need to get in touch with him via e-mail... Sorry if I overlooked it on the site somewhere, but I don't think I did.

Good luck to you on your BOHICA purchase and thank you for your service to your country. Godspeed and get home safe to enjoy a new 50BMG!!!!
They totally revamped thier website and changed thier product line. Here is an email exchange. (Read from bottom to top.)
Best bang for the buck IMHO
strong adj bipod
rings and base
outstanding muzzle break
free float barrel
i guess i should have gotten the GREEN AR-50 then instead of the black one ...
FYI, the link for the Tactilite upper is not working...same thing with the Armalite single shot (look at the link, it's got too many http's in there)
Zel Custom Mfg. has added the Tactilite T2 (magazine-fed) upper to its line. It uses a 5-round magazine, made by Accuracy International. Like the Tactilite T1 (single-shot) upper, the T2 features a receiver that is CNC-machined from a single piece of steel billet. All critical receiver components and the scope rail are machined directly as part of the receiver. For 2010, the T1 in .50 BMG starts at $1798 and the T2 starts at $2298. Standard features include: free floating barrel, 7075 quadrail handguard and black CeraKote finish. Zel Custom offers a choice of barrel length and Lothar Walther barrel upgrades, which impacts pricing. Complete tech specs can be found here.
As a new comer into the 50 cal world...nice price and link list...I had to sponge the drool off my keyboard...
but given the turn of the year...you will need to update the Armalite one...With the National Match AR-50 A1...it will add one more to the list under ArmaLite...
ArmaLite AR-50 A1 National Match
Great list and thanks for the hard work....any possibility of some more updating on this "oldie but still relevant goodie"
