what is the best range to zero a laser?

it will be mounted on ar not pistol.

I use lasers for close quarters type shooting.  I would say for home defense to zero your laser to the longest distance in your house, say a long hall way.  If not, 25 yards is as far as I would go.

I plan do do mine at 50 meters but mine will be used from 0 to as far as I can see them as one IR and one is visible, I plan to use it for hogs, intruders and zombies 50 meters is good to go from 0 to 200 meters within MOA of point of aim, or at least it is with irons inless the offset with a laser is different. I really hate the 6" offset with a 25 meter BZO so I wont do it unless work requires it. YMMV
