getting a bobro mount for my ar 15 chose this brand for personal reasons not changing my mind.

this mount will be holding a leupold mark ar mod 1 1.5-4 scope.

how do i know weather i need the normal version or the extended version.

Comes down to personal preference and how much eye relief you've got. Also how much rail space you have.

Eye relief is the primary factor, with the Leupold mark ar mod 1 1.5-4 scope the extended would be my choice.

probably go with extended its what i see most people with and without being able to touch one better safe than sorry i guess.

I prefer extended cause I like to shoot NTCH with my stock nearly closed all the way in to make a shorter overall carbine. The eye relief on most scopes are 3-4 inches too so extended is a must for me.

I also am going to use bobro mount with Leupold 1.25-4-33 and been told the extended mount was the way to go.
