What model of HARRIS bipod and size can you recommend for recreational bench and/or prone shooting? will the 9-13 inches be too long?

I'm using the standard 9"-13" bipod in the shortest setting on my AR-15. If you let the rifle rest on the buttstock, a 30rd mag will hit the table or ground. But when you're in the firing mode (stock against shoulder), there's enough room for a 30rd mag.

i use my 6-9" bench with 30rd mags no problem

The Bench Rest model
 !!!I use the 6"-9", I found the 9"-12" way too high for bench shooting. I wound up taking it off most times to use a bag as a rest. |
