The new .22 uppers from Nordic Components completely blow away everything else currently on the market.  Just sayin'.

CMMG would be hard to top. New inovations the competers don't have and won't have.
I have a Quebec model that has now 2700 rounds through with no failures. Only exception to that is the Remington Subs. It will make it through 10-15 rounds. The build up and profile of the Rems result in chambering issues. Clean and will will run them again.
I've fired several types of .22 through it.
Nice accuracy for a blaster barrel.
Real upper and lower. Lower can be used for any other AR upper.
Check the Pistol Caliber forums for range reports.

+1 on the CMMG, I have the M4LE upper with the SS bolt option and it functions so well I do not see how anything else could be better

and the price was hard to beat.

I am considering ordering the Spikes 22lr upper myself.

Take a hard look at the Nordic first.

the Nordic is the 10/22 kit. I want a strait AR. the Spickes uppers cost just as much as the whole rifle from CMMG.  Spikes are chrome lined tho

Also take a look at Tactical Solutions dedicated uppers.

I have one that has been great for me paired with a Cav Arms lower.

No. Nordic recently released a dedicated .22LR upper.  I'm not talking about the 10/22 conversion.

Another happy Spike's ST-22 owner.

While it has its own lower right now, it will become a 'dedicated' .22 LR lower as soon as my bolt hold open kit from CMMG arrives.

The nickel-plated bolt on the Spike's is pretty slick (literally and figuratively).  It is very easy to clean using Simple Green and a toothbrush.  One drop of oil on each rail is all you need for lube.  Mine has been perfect with Federal red and blue bulk packs, and Federal Auto Match.  The only other 'special' maintenance I do is clean the chamber with a 6mm (.243) bore brush, but I do that on all of my .22 LR guns.

The CMMG barrels have the WASP coating which is a Nitride coating.
