Boy, that's a loaded question. Depends on what "stuff" you mean.

Per retro forum rules:

1.  we can't discuss pricing
2. we can't do sales in this forum

I would suggest going over to www.retroblackrifle.com, and I also expect some members can help flesh out what gear would be appropriate.

Here is a good place to start.

You did say "everything" right?

I don't really have anything to offer other than a little encouragement. A manikin is a great way to display a gear collection. I've collected basicly all the gear I was issued in the early 80's. This is my buddy "Joe". He lives in my basement in my war room workshop. I've been collecting gear for a while now but, I really don't have much from Vietnam.

I recently got rid of my camo from the 80s.
I could have outfitted a similar mannequin.
I still have the ALICE gear. (fighting and existence load)
I've been thinking about getting rid of it too.

A US Marine in Vietnam would most likely use USMC issued gear. Some did use M1956 gear but I would like to see some reference pics of them using M16A1 ammo pouches, shoulder holsters, or pilots survival knives.

Have a look over at http://firebasenam.myfastforum.org/index.php. It's a good forum, free to sign up, lots of great pics and info.

The uniforms and gear will depend a lot on what year, unit, weapon carried, and AO you want to represent. The uniforms and webbing were in an evolving state. The Corps had/has lots of 782 gear that was/is different than the Army's TA50.

Another great place for reference http://www.vietnamgear.com/.

And as mentioned before http://www.mooremilitaria.com/.

Another vote for Moore Militaria, "Your one-stop 'Nam Shop."
Moore's jungle fatigues are excellent, but if you want to save some money, there are cheaper reproductions out there:

http://www.fatiguesarmynavy.com/store/item/VV1401/Vintage_Vietnam_Era__O_D__Ripstop_Jungle_Jacket

Vibram-soled jungle boots (as offered by Moore) would be most correct, but you can save some money by going with Panama-soled boots:

The most expensive and hardest-to-find item will be the M1955 Flak Vest:

Unlike the Army, Marines wore their flak vests almost all the time. Nothing says "USMC Vietnam" like an M1955 Flak Vest!

how much do the flak jackets usually cost?  is there any difference in cost at which type you get?

The Marine flak vests usually go for several hundred dollars. The earlier ones didn't have the lower pockets.

You will probably want to use a brown kabar and scabbard

I bought two very nice 1969 medium M69s with zipper/snaps and no epis for $100 each. Might let one go...

The cheapest M1955 I 'found' in decent condition was over $200; ergo I got the M69s.

HERE"S  a good link with some nice info and pics.

Well, thanx for keeping us on the straight and narrow. Sorry, I couldn't find the 'Comedy Central' forum here...

Besides, it is a representative photo of the correct period gear... In '67 I traded some ol' bed frames for a '1955' that was passed on to one of my buds when I left. How 'bout ya...?

Sorry if I came across as a dick; didn't mean to. One of the reasons I like this forum is because people tend to keep politics & current events out of the technical discussions, that's all.

Thank you for your service.

Hey, me too; sorry! I guess I'm trying to temper my disdain for certain pol folk with a touch of humor (naw... honestly... it's 'payback').

I consider history (as in retro) separate from today's politics and CE.

Regardless, I apologize if my post detracted from the OP.

Now back to our obsessive 'retro programming'...

We (USAF) were issued Jungle boots 'round Jun/Jul '67 at Da Nang. Don't know about the Marines or Army. They normally got the new issue uniform items, rightfully so, before we did. So da black ones should be GTG for an earlier time period.

Can't help ya on the LSA (see above... ).

There are "square" OD 2oz bottles with the same dates as the opaque.

The "teardrop" shaped bottles (4oz), opaque or OD, are just hard to find now days and are more desireable for a collector.

All leather boots for the earlier years, with utility uniform.

Those bottles are white, but are the correct shape, need some in "natural" finish.
