Well as an ex-motocrosser and spent a few years working for Kawasaki Motors as a tech I'd say it may or may not do a good job.Depending on the brand, what type of oil is used and more importantly whats the solvent/detergent content. Some 2-cycle oils do not have solvents or detergents such as castor and some of the pure synthetics like GP-7.
So I say thats a pretty wide area opened up there and Im pretty sure it does not do a very good job.Ive had to degum way too many KIPS valves to think the oil does a good job cleaning.
Its also another one of those trying to reinvent the wheel type things to me.Why?
I rather pay $11.00 for a pint of clp or old #9 than pay around $7.00+ for a 4oz. bottle of 2cycle oil.
If your going to do something like that go buy some kerosene and use it as a solvent as Im pretty darn sure it will do a better job and much cheaper.
