anyone have familiarity with the trijicon tripower scope. If so, worse, or better, or equal to aimpoint. Or is it a completely different system not comparable to aimpoint stuff.

Its going to be a fairly similar system. Wont be able to tell if it is better or worse until it's been released and used for quite some time. All I, or anyone else for that matter, has seen is a few prototypes. It does look very promising and I cant wait to get one... when they eventually are released! One benefit is that it will not be battery dependant, but will have a battery back up. Primary power source is tritium/fiber optics. What this will mean is that you dont HAVE to turn it on or off, it will always be on. But when lighting conditions are such that they may wash out a reticle powered by tritium/fiber optics, you can hit the battery back-up power source. we'll all just have to wait and see though.
