Need legal advice?

What is consider a thumbhole stock?
If you cut the top part of the hole, so it doesn't have a hole anymore, is that a thumbhole stock?

Just wondering!!

A thumbhole stock is one where the buttstock and separate pistol grip are joined together into one piece. A thumbhole stock doesn't gain you anything on an all-domestic rifle like the AR-15.

There's info on this at JP's website: http://www.jprifles.com/CrimeBillNotice.html Bottom line: don't bother with thumbholes.

If your looking for a Way around a pistol Grip, its not the thumbhole! The thumbhole is a pimp stock in itself! If you have the extra 250 bucks to burn, Get it! Especially if you shoot targets etc. I hate the Plastic crap they put on AR's but the JP stock gets rid of the plastic crap back there! I have a Colt Match Target Comp HBAR with a Jewell Trig, JP Stock, And a DPMS Free Float Tube. The rifle looks good, but weighs a ton now. I shoot from a bench so its all good! Get it if you can afford it!!
