will a vltor upper receiver/assembly work with a POF lower flawlessly?

im iffy about mix matching internal parts and spending money on aftermarket uppers and receivers....

Of all the AR's I have, not one is made up of 1 brand of parts. I've never bought a complete AR, and honestly, never intend to.

Plus, it's cheaper to buy separately.

Generally, if the receivers are made by some known manufacturer (not "Bob's ARs and Storm Door Company" for example), the worst you'll run into is a very tight (or conceivably a not terribly tight) fit between upper and lower. For example, Rock River uppers and lowers are machined for a VERY tight fit, and you'll find that they are pretty darn tight when mated to other makers' parts. But they are fully interoperable-once you get 'em fitted in.

My Essential Arms lower and Larue upper work flawlessly. Oh and I replaced the original BCG with a Young Mfg. National Match Chrome M16 BCG. Awesome combination
