Plus one. You can also lose the cross hair reticle very easly when quickly switching targets or in low light.

Trijicon has a new Compact ACOG coming out. I have no model #, and I dont know how much it costs. What I do know is that it is a 3x Comp ACOG that has very generous eye relief and a bullet drop compensated chevron reticle. Loofed pretty nice. Eye relief was about that of the 2x. Saw it at Shot Show, Im sorry I didnt get any pictures.

Man I have been wanting to get a 3x with good eye relief for a long time.

NAG, what did it look like? is it along the same lines as the other compacts?

I presume the one I saw was a proto type. I asked what the model was and the reps said they didnt even have one yet. It looked like any other Comp ACOG, except it looked like it was longer at the front. Almost like a piece was added to the body. Sort of like the TA55 looks like a TA11 with a longer front end, you know? But it wasnt as dramatic as that. I'll see if I can get some pics and specs to show you all.

Got no pics or other info to share at the moment... sorry However I have been told that more info should be available in about 4-6 months. Thats the best I can do for now!!!

I do not mean to be an ass. But I highlighted the problem with your statement. Please please at least spend some real time (meaning several weeks or more) with the optic before you come here and tell me, that what I said above is not true. The current 3 power cross hair compact Acogs have many limits. They do wash out very easily. Yes you do have a black cross hair, but that does not help when you need speed.  They also have very limited eye relief. The fact you are not using all of the optic picture only slows you down even more. Further more if you are looking thru the optic then you are using the 3 power it provides.

When the new unit comes out I am sure it will be an outstanding optic as most of the Trijicon line is. But the fact they are redesigning the optic in the first place should be your first clue that it has a current problem.

I am not trying to beat you up. Your opinion here is just as important as mine or anyone elses. Just have your facts right, before making a statement like the above about a known product that has been on the market for a long time.
