What are some spare parts that I would want to keep onhand for my AR?  Perhaps parts that are most prone to failure.

If you plan on taken apart the rifle at all you are going to want to keep an extra set of springs and detent pins such as the buffer spring retaining pin. Some times those have a nasty habit of flying off on ya when you are dismantleing.

Firing pin, firing pin retainer, extractor, extractor spring with insert, bolt cam pin, 1 set of 3 gas rings, a complete set of all springs, safety detent x 2, and a copy of the USMC armorers guide, or, the US Army armorers guide.
