been a while since being in the 9mm AR game, but am dusting off my old unit and am looking for a 4 or 5 inch Colt style 9mm barrel to replace my "well worn out" SBR barrel.

currently running a 10.5-inch upper and a threaded suppressor.  need a barrel threaded 1/2x28 (not the std 1/2x36) as that's the threads on my old suppressor

any recommendations?

Spike's sometimes has LW 5"ers in stock.

The only other one I know of is TROS.

Green Mountain has 10.5" barrels for only $80 in their "specials" section if you know someone that will cut and thread cheap.  Existing threads are 1/2x36.

thanks.  that green mountain barrel would be perfect.....if i could order it online.  looks like its one of those "locate your local dealer" ordering issues....

I ordered mine online.  Took about a week and a half to get to me, but didn't have to use a dealer.

TROS

had to wait about 8 weeks for mine.  Well worth it for $188 shipped.  The 3 lug will have you thinking about getting a suppressor which could be very bad on the pocket book

Yep.  That's the one I run.....only in the 8" variety.  I'm changing things up a little, so I could part with my 8" barrel threaded 1/2 x28 if you would be interested.  500 rounds through it.

ADCO sells some 9mm barrels.  I got one of their 5" and have been very happy with it.  They also cut my RRA 16" down to 10.5" (Just in front of the bayo lug) and I love it.

Edit:  They currently sell in 4.5, 5, 6 and 7 inch barrels with selection of 1/2x28 or 1/2x36 (really nice!).

TROS.....Was shooting my 8 incher @ 300 yards off bipod and rear bag on Sunday.
150 yard groups run 1.5-2 inches. You can make headshots consistently at 200 if
there is no wind. 1:10 twist and loves147 Ranger SXT and newer generations of same.

I have an AAC SDN-6 and was gonna build a couple of 300 BLK SBR's,but why bother...
I'm gonna build another (5 inch) 9mm SBR instead.

This 8 incher must be the funnest and most consistently accurate little gun that I own.
It shoots like a damn bolt rifle.

Gonna get my dope for 350 and possibly 400 yards this weekend. 11.8 mils to 300 from
a 50 yard zero!

Go TROS.

awesome bro!  i like the way you think.  i was gonna go down the 300 BLK road myself but am having so much dam fun shooting suppressed 9mm with surprising accuracy, why bother?

found another source of stubby 9mm barrels here....  http://www.jsesurplus.com/16bdss9mmhbarbarrel-1.aspx

might try one of those since the price is pretty good.

I looked at JSE as well but they only have them in 1/2x36. By the time I get adapters for my 1/2x28 9mm can I'd be better off and have less down time than if I went with TROS Adco from the get go. Once I have my stamp back, TROS Adco will get my business.

ETA: Meant Adco but kept typing TROS instead

Took the TROS to 350 and 400 on Friday. Ranger RA9T 147 gr Subsonic, 8" TROS, 1-4x SWFA SS, Atlas bipod/rear bag, shooting prone on the gravel.
16 Mils to 350 yds with a tennis ball sized 3 shot group. At 400 need 19.5 Mils, ie 23.4 FEET of elevation! Shot a pair at 400 ~4" ctc center chest. Hope
to have my 51/2 incher running in the next week or two. I ordered a bunch of  RA9T after the above. BR
