I used a superior arms lower, stag parts kit & the m-4  rifle kit from del-ton. Went together easily(a little tight but better after today), & arms #40 buis.

Shot apprx 300 rnds today w/ no failures or malfuntions.

The only problem was the buttstock, clould NOT get it tight. It will twist  from side to side a little, not a big deal but I just ordered the 6 position stock from bushmaster. I belive the del ton unit is dpms. The rifle works great, but those little things bug me.

We had about 50 guys together for a shoot today & I almost won the egg shoot w/ an a2 h-bar. (had to shoot an egg @ 100 yds). I nailed it on the second shot but some kid hit his on the first. Keep in mind I'm also the only guy shooting w/ Irons. Kid had a pretty slick 22 mag w/ a scope.

Shot about 500 rnds 5.56, 200 or so .45 out of the 1911 & 625-2 &  about 100 out of the mosin 91-30.

What a nice day, all aggresion has left my body.

You may want to consider staking or using blue lock-tite on the stocks castle nut after tightening it down with the spanner wrench.  This would still be useful when installing the Bushmaster unit.

My Delton buttstock did exactly the same thingon my ameetec lower. It wiggles side to side and has the plastic buttplate. The lower parts kit is nice enough but that A2 stock is a letdown.

my DelTon A2 stock fits on my LRB Arms lower based SDMR well, and its rock solid. They use a hex bolt to secure the buttstock, which I think is easier and better than a standard slot screw. Plus, they don't Loc-Tite the fucker in like some other expensive gray colored rifles.

which stock is problimatic? The A2 or the M4 telestock? I'm looking ot buy and just want to know what to look out for.

Also, is a A2 Stock supposed to have something else other than a plastic but plate?

In my case, it is an A2 Del-ton buttstock I bought last week.

I'ts the M4 telestock, the castlenut is tight (via locktite) but it will shift back & forth.

I have Bushmasters 6 position telestock on the way. Much nicer unit (much higher price as well.)

Other than that, Del ton is good stuff. I ran another 600 rnds through it w/out cleaning on sunday, once again not a single malfunction. The only problem is all the brass I have to process. I have got to get a progressive reloader.

Still not on a par w/ my old H-Bar though.

Guys, installing the A2 stock is a two man job if you want to get all of the play out of it. Use the biggest screwdriver that'll fit the screw slot. Hold the lower under your left arm with with the butt facing away from you. Put the driver in the slot & keep pressure on the screw while a buddy turns it with a pair of vicegrips or a wrench if your screwdriver has a square shaft shaft. You're looking for that last quarter of a turn on the screw to take out the play. My buddy & I both had the same problem with side to side play that you're having & that's haw we whipped it .

I'm not familiar installing the A2. It's not the castle nut thats the problem. It is tight. I'm talking about the metal spacerbetween the locknut & the reciever. (reciever plate.)

The protrusion on it does not match the lower reciever. It will not matter how tight you crank the castle nut, it will move.
