As of 10 min I ago, I have everything I need except the lower to complete my first build.

So, I was looking @ the mag block today, and tried it out in another ar15 lower and put on the new 9mm upper to see how it looks/works.

Anyways, am I missing something abou the mag block? I thought I read that it screwed or pinned in or something? It seems to be able to just slide in and clicks after it pases the mag release. Now on the bottom of it there is an allen screw- what does this do? IE do I need to do something with it or leave it alone?

Almost seems to simple as is I suppose.

I'm glad I look in the 9mm AR FAQ thread before I replied to your post. I did not know that RRA had a new mag block.

Here you go:

"New" Rock River Arms mag block
-Bottom Loader
-Uses set screw to secure
-No bolt hold-open feature
-Replaced "Old" Rock River Mag block around January 2005.

I guess you need to tighten the set screw after it pass the mag release and click into place.

ic...I read that & wasn't sure

as the screw is @ the bottom of the block, just seems odd, but I'll give it a whirl...
