Hello. I have a stupid question. Can I rit dye my black stock to fde? I've never done this before and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

No, can only go from light to dark with rit dye.

You can use Durakote, a two part paint which comes in all sorts of colors including a number of dark earth colors. They have Flat Dark Earth to match Magpul

Yup, can only go darker. Just today I dyed a bunch of foliage furniture in a 2-tone blue on a .22 AR for the kids (and me
 ).
Edit: the best base is FDE, it is the lightest and will bring out the best colors, I wish I would have used FDE instead of foliage, but it still came out great.
