anyone ever bead blast there mags before dura-coating them?

If you media blast them you could remove the anodizing. The anodizing helps the paint, moly, teflon, etc adhere to the surface. It's usually perfrered to spend some time with a scotch pad.

well I used glass bead and blasted all ten steel mags, then dura coated them with combat black ,, they turned out perfect!look just like new.
