yeah that looks like it!(looked in acronym thread LMT and link to web site) is LMT the only ones that make them, or are there others. i just bought a colt le6920, is there any particular rear sight like so that goes with this colt, or will any do. i definately want something with elevation adjustments.  also another question, i want to get KAC rails, whats the difference with the RAS and RIS. is my colt only compatable with one of these or will either work, which one do you guys think i should get.    thanks very much for the replies and any future replies!!

one more thing, for those of you that just read the threads and never post( like i did it for awhile)go ahead and register and ask your  Q's. these guys are great.

It's possible to cut your own BUIS from a carry handle, here's mine.

dont do it............ just pay for a made unit. there will be a time when you want a detachable carry handle.
trust me.............. I spent more money modifying and selling parts that I didnt think I needed, to buy them all over again. money down the drain

always keep old parts, they always lead to new rifles.

For BUIS I use a ARMS40 like this

It folds down when not in use like this

so far I really like it and have no problems....

i was really looking for something with elevation adjustments, but that ARMS40 looks real tight!!
i think its a crunchy thing, too used to the m16a2 with the windage and elevation, but dont want the carry handle.

If your upper still has a front site post, then you can use the elevation adjustment on that. Just an idea if you did and wanted the #40..

You've got the aptures like the AR 250 to 300 and 500 to 600. So far it is the best I have found.

Bushmaster has one (link) similar to what your describing.  I bought one recently, but haven't decided if I like it or not.  I can't mount it and an RRA scope mount at the same time without some kind of rail extension.
It does have A2-like elevation adjustments from 300-600 meters and a normal A2 flip peep.

I ponied up the extra cash and bought a Wilson buis. It is the only folding buis I could find that has an elevation adjustment. I like it
